Question by Matty Cob: How can i create stage lighting for my band that goes along to the bass or kick drum?
I have no idea how the lighting that bands use which follows the bass or bass drum works. It is usually just flood lights but I want to know how they work and how to create these or (if inexpensive enough) buy some. But if there is a less-expensive way to create these lights that would be awesome.

Comes with a 15-year warranty; many in this price range come with only a one-year warranty and are flimsy by comparison. Good-quality materials. Even my landlord thinks it’s well-made, which is good because he paid for it. The slight reddish cast to the “bronze” finish and the ivory glass go well with the aged redwood walls of my California cottage. The design could adapt to classic or contemporary, casual or formal surroundings, though. Very pleased with this chandelier.

I am very pleased with my purchase, it looks very nice and elegent in the hallway. I bought 4 lights( different style, spent under 0)from Hardware House and upgraded the lights in the hallway, very good investment. Only this chandelier itself will cost over 0 if you buy it from local store.

The lighting itself seems fine (good quality) but there were no instructions, no chain, no way to hook it to the existing ceiling piece after the old lighting was removed and no way to mount it directly to the ceiling to cover the hole. It took all day, 2 trips to the hardward store and some creative ways to hook it to the ceiling. I thought we would get a complete lighting set where all we needed to do was take the existing chandelier down and put this one up. Not so. |

Question by Ferg2k: How many watts of lighting do I need over a dining table?
I foolishly bought a pendant lamp with only a 100 watt halogen light bulb for my dining area. Now that I’ve decided to replace it with a bigger chandalier, how many watts of light should I be looking at? I do have a Lutron dimmer, so it’ll be adjustable. Is total wattage even what I should be looking at? Is there some other measurement to consider?
Because my dining room has a sloping roof, I can really only do a single chandalier or pendant lamp. A single pendant lamp will never be bright enough — so that’s out. Most chandaliers tend to have lamp shades that focus upwards, whereas I know lighting for a dining table should mostly focus downwards — to draw people into the dining area.
What are my options? For what it’s worth, I very much want a modern, contemporary design.

40w good for 4 lamp fixtures thru 6 lamps. 60 w if frosted
